Boat tour to “the most beautiful castle in Sweden”, Skokloster, along Fyris river

Join us on M/S Kung Karl Gustaf on the five hours long boat tour along Fyris river and the beautiful lake Mälaren, to one of Europe’s most prominent Baroque castles. Skokloster was built between 1654 and 1676 when Sweden was one of Europe’s most powerful countries. The castle hosts a notable collection of paintings, furniture, textiles, and silver and glass tableware. The armoury and library are particularly worth seeing, the former is “the largest collection of personal 17th century military weapons in the world” (Wikipedia). We will stop for one hour at the castle when you can either stroll in the lovely Baroque garden and the surroundings, or follow a guided tour in the castle when we will be told the fascinated story of the building. The guided tour is included in the price. After the tour we return to Uppsala in the boat. The excursion is in total 5 hours.
